Hola! Quería mostrarles estas acuarelas que hice inspiradas en una aventura de 20 días por Sri Lanka. La experiencia del viaje fue más de lo que hubiese podido imaginar. Los niños jugando Criquet en la playa de Negombo al atardecer, las familias enteras arriba de una sola bicicleta, el tren de Kandy a Ella, las nubladas y lluviosas plantaciones de té de Nuwara Eliya, los vientos fuertes arriba de las rocas, las cuevas de Dambulla, las risas subiéndose al bus después del colegio... Traté de mostrarlo en estas acuarelas y temo que no hay manera de hacerle a todo esto justicia. Siempre recordaré a Sri Lanka, INFINITA y MARAVILLOSA.
Hello! I wanted to show you guys these watercolor paintings I made inspired by amazing Sri Lanka. The experience of being in this country was more than I could ever have expected. The children playing Cricket in Negombo beach at sunset, the families traveling together (all members holding on to one bicycle), the train ride from Kandy to Ella, the foggy and rainy tea plantations of Nuwara Eliya, the strong winds on the rocks, the Dambulla Cave Temples, the laughter of children getting on the bus after school... I tried to show this in my paintings and fear there is no way I could do it all justice. Still I will always remember Sri Lanka, INFINITE and WONDERFUL.
