Este post es muy especial para mí porque es para mostrarles un día hermoso que pasé pintando al aire libre en la casa del lago Amatitlán donde viven mis tíos en Guatemala. Después de mis aventuras en Puerto Viejo en Costa Rica volví a Panamá para tomar un vuelo a Ciudad de Guatemala. Mis primas Isabela y Camila me fueron a buscar al aeropuerto y nos fuimos de ahí a Amatitlán donde viven mi tío Tatio y su mujer (La Nico). Para mí quedarme con mis tíos y primas en Amati es lo máximo, siempre me siento en casa y me encanta poder compartir con mi familia. La Nico es chef y cocina las cosas más ricas y mi tío es seco para el asado. La casa tiene esa alegría guatemalteca y el jardín da directo al lago. Ese día que llegué quería pintar algo para dejarles de regalo a mis primas. Como siempre estoy viajando con una mochila de 20 kilos que contiene todas mis posesiones incluyendo mis materiales de arte, no tengo mucho espacio para andar llevando regalos por lo que quería hacerles algo. Puse mi manta en el pasto mirando hacia el lago y me puse a pintar usando lo que veía como inspiración. El perro de la familia, Bearsy, al tiro vino a acompañarme y sentarse a mi lado. Sentí mucha paz retratando a mi Amati amado.
This post is very special to me. I made it so I could show you a very beautiful day I spent painting outside my Aunt and Uncle's house in Lake Amatitlán in Guatemala. After my adventures in Puerto Viejo I went back to Panama to take a flight to Guatemala City. Mi cousins Isabela and Camila picked me up from the airport and we went straight to Amatitlán where my uncle Tatio and his wife Nico live. Staying with them in Amati is the best! I always feel at home and I love being able to spend time with my family. Nico is a chef and she cooks the most amazing food and my uncle is the barbecue king. The house is joyful and the garden goes all the way to the lake. That day I arrived I wanted to paint something for my cousins. I sat on the grass and the family dog Bearsy ran over to keep me company. I felt peace portraying beloved Amati.
